There are 60 seats in BDS course in this institute and every year admission is done in the month of  June/July. The BDS seats can be categorized as per following details :

Sikh Minority Quota seats (30) including NRI seats (5)

These seats are reserved for Sikh candidates. The candidates are selected through All India Competetive Test. Five seats are reserved for NRI candidates.Condition of competitive test does not apply for NRI candidates

State Govt./university Quota seats(30). Including NRI Seats (4)

These seats are filled by admitting the candidates through State Govt./university  rules i.e. through PMET conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. Four of the seats are reserved for NRI candidates. However, the condition of PMET does not apply on NRI candidates
